A big respect for Madame Grès

Ok, so before starting, I got a huge question : Why don't we learn about Grès when we start design schools? It should definitely be the first lesson! And we all could be way better fashion designers.

Madame Grès had the most amazing career in the fashion world, she was on the top from the 30's to the 80's!
She developped her totally unique and strong style, an incredible technic of pleats with designs that will never be out of trends. Something between antic Greece and minimalism... it is really pure at the first eye, then you come closer and it becomes extremly complex.

When I get out of the museum, I was deeply sad to see how the fashion world totally forgot her talent and how in two years, this fashion godess disapeared from all memories.
Now, I realised that she was THE woman of the 20th Century (I am sorry for Chanel, but that is true!).

Cheers, fellow Parisian :) (except I'm American, not French)
